• Make sure that the source of your work assignment has a site and is well-established one. You can find this out by asking them for a website address. The way they specify their work requirements and compensation provisions you can find their credibility. If you find any difference just drop the project.

• Once you get a project, meet the deadline. The main problem with people trying to gain a foothold onto the freelance writing market is that they send in their assignments late. This is because they have yet to gain professional experience. The result is poor impression and the source may not want to hire you the next time.
